Petite Pennants Builder

I am so excited for all of the new, great things that have come out in the new catalog.  I've gotten so many new things to play with I think it's going to take me forever to get them all out.

I'm on the PTA board at my children's school, and one of the things that I am over this year is the teachers b'day cards.  I decided that it wouldn't take a whole lot to just make all 40+ cards and have them gender neutral and ready to hand out, so I set to work.  (I always think hand made cards are much better than a store bought card.)  Here's the card I came up with.

I got this idea from a swap at convention, once I've organized my cards and locate the card, I will post it.  Thanks ladies!  Have a beautiful day.

Wedding cake card

My brother is getting married this weekend, so I wanted to make him and his fiancee a wedding card.  I have seen these cakes other places and decided it didn't look to hard to make, so here's my go at it.

Their colors are what I have interpreted as a Melon Mambo color and black, so here's my card using those two colors.  Then I thought hek while I'm at it, I want to see what it looks like with black and white.  So here's the card using white and black.

So what do you think?  I think they turned out well for my first attempts.

Workshop words

I can't believe how fast time fly's!  Wow, I really haven't been a slacker.  Between my husband being deployed, convention, husband coming back, a trip to Disneyland, a sprained ankle and 3 kids out for summer, I feel like I haven't had a second to catch up on my blog.  I have been busy too with re-organizing my craft room, and of course working on some "projects".

So as you know, I went to convention again this year, my second time, and this time we were given a stamp set that was exclusively for demonstrators.  How awesome is that?!  So of course I set to work on coming up with an idea to use them...

I would like to say that this idea was entirely my own, but I totally cased it from a great friend and fellow demonstrator, using this new "Workshop Words" stamp set.  Thanks Melanie!!  This picture isn't the best, the center of the little flower as a rhinestone in it.  I think they turned out super cute and I'm excited for my club to start up again in September!  I hope to be back again BEFORE so much time has gone by.  I have a ton of pictures to post and alot of blogs to catch up on.  Thanks for stopping by!
