A new technique

I am so excited for this post!  I tried a couple of techniques that I have never tried before.  First, the baby wipe technique.  I absolutely love this technique now. It's so much fun!  No two cards look alike.  On the same card, I tried making a flower using the scallop circle punch.  It absolutely made this card.  You defiantly won't be able to mail it, but I still LOVE it!   Let me show you the first card that my technique club did yesterday.
This card I used the pretty petals background.  Notice how neither cared is exactly the same?  You can use the same ink pad you made (the baby wipes) and get two different colors.  I did notice though that it's easier to use this technique on smaller stamps.  Like this one below.

With this card I used the FREE stamp set I got with sale-a-brations, Punch Bunch,(pg.5) and the FREE paper from the DSP & quick accents pack.  (find it on pg. 7 of the sale-a-brations catalog).  I LOVE FREE!  And let's not forget, I used my new tulips folder.  This cards was different because I actually came up with the center piece very easily, but then I couldn't come up with a card to put it on, then I thought about some of the new things that I had bought and hadn't used yet.  The framed tulips worked beautifully!  (you can find that in the mini catalog on pg. 12.  It's only $7.95!  What a steal.) I then wiped my ink pad, (baby wipe) along the sides of my card.  I think it made a very nice color.

Now, one thing I absolutly love about my group of gals is that they don't always make their cards exactly like I do.  It's always fun to see what someone can come up with using the exact same supplies.  So here is one card that one of my ladies, (Robyn) did.

Isn't that great!  I like how she turned it and added a bow.  Same card, but different.  Now here's the one her 7 year old grandaughter did.  Lexi.
I will post the tutorial for both the wipe technique and the scallop circle flower technique soon.  Probably tomorrow.  Thanks ladies!

Sorry for all the different shades of red.  Every time I added a picture my ink color would go back to black, so I would pick the red I thought I had picked before and just now as I look at the entire thing I realize that I was picking all the different shades of red.  So I hope it doesn't hurt anyone eyes and that you can read it.

P.S. Yes, the red ink Color is a little hard to read. I start reading like this OO and finish like ++. LOL :)

  2. Thanks Maria, I changed the color. I think I need to stick to colors that I can't see against the white to well so that you can read it against the black. I hope this color makes it easier to read.
