I need some ideas asap

My little girls birthday is tomorrow. She's turning 10! So I've made her a card, but there's just something missing. I can't figure out what, but it's just not turning out how I'd envisioned it, so if you have any helpful advice on what I need to do to this card to bring it together, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks as always for looking!!

  1. Cute card. I would place another layer of color behind the spinner square. It would be nice if it were DSP that brought all of your colors together.

  2. I really like where you are going with this card. I think that maybe your turquoise and daffodil pieces need go higher on the base, and maybe your daffodil should be thicker so that a little shows under the melon mambo ribbon. You could also try matting your stamped piece with daffodil and then popping it up on dimensionals. Small things, but I do like what is here so far.

This happens to me a lot. I end up walking away from it. Most often, when I come back, I find that the problem is that my layout is too symmetrical.

Good luck and Happy Birthday to your daughter!

  3. I like the idea of layering the spinner and then pop up with dimensionals. I will add a layered: "You are Invited" at the top. and maybe a border of cakes at the bottom (optional).

  4. I think I incorporated all of the ideas and I like this card SOOOO much better now. Thank you for your wonderful suggestions! I really appreciate them. I did use the dimensionals behind the stamped image, but I don't think it's showing too well in the picture. Again, thank you!!
